Asian baked chicken wings

Let's talk about almost everyone's favorite starter today. Shall we?

If you know me even a bit, then yes it's non vegetarian. Since you also know how feeding a crowd can be a tricky job, so yes it's kinda inexpensive yet filling. Also since I get bored easily, rather very fast, so this ingredient is versatile. Heard of clothes horse?? I am sure you have. This ingredient is a super loved vehicle for all sort of flavors. Excited or still thinking?? Most of you by now must have guessed it!!

And yes, you are right. It is my dear loved friends: Chicken wings.

I have to think hard, to figure out how many times have I entertained friends without chicken wings. Because whatever be the topple of choice, wings have always appeared providing a lot of comfort. While it's been my Asian Gondhoraj wings that has won accolades till now, but probably it's time to change. I have been itching to share with you this recipe ever since it came out kinda mouth watering good, after a couple of trial and error. So here we start with today's project:

  • 6 chicken wings (not jointed),  approx,500 gm.
  • Pound together in a mortar & pestle 1 green chili, a small handful of coriander leaves + 3 fat cloves of garlic+ 1" ginger and  a pinch of salt. Pound till its a paste, rough paste is fine. So don't stress.
  • Take a bowl and pour in the following: 3 tbsp crunchy peanut butter+ 1.5 tbsp fish sauce+ 1 tbsp light soy+ 2.5 tbsp lime juice + 2 tbsp hot sauce of choice + pounded ginger and garlic + 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil. This needs to be mixed well, breaking down every bit of the sturdy adamant peanut butter.

  • Once you have paste that can be slathered on any surface, stop mixing. Massage the chicken wings with this paste and allow it to bath in this marinade for a couple of hours in refrigeration. About 4 hours should be superb.
  • Pre-heat oven to 175 C and line your baking tin with foil or baking sheet. Place the chicken wings along with all the marinade. Drizzle 1 tbsp of vegetable oil of top. Bake them for 25 mins. Turn them after 18 mins and baste its own juice.
  • Once the time is over we bake it further at 200 C for 13 mins. And now its's done. Place it under the hot grill for 3 mins.
  • Once you have taken them out and placed them on the serving platter, spoon over some chili oil, sprinkle some spring onions greens and sesame seeds.

Sit back and enjoy in the company of your loved ones. Well for me, I am good enough company to myself.

There are no special notes for this one, simply because you do not need one. Trust me. Just remember the opportunity with wings is huge, there is so much one can do to enhance the beauty of a party with them. To me, wings kinda ensure good times with friends around.

Make this for sure, as they taste delicious and also because you haven't got anything to do. The oven does it all for you. Trust me!!

Stay safe till we meet again. XOXO
