CHESSECAKE BROWNIE

 

I am staunch believer of chocolates being the true solution to a lot of problems that humans encounter in the course of their daily life. And brownie happens to be a close confidante of chocolate. You can of course prove me wrong, but I am sure it will cost you a lifetime to gather resources to take me off chocolates. Trust me, there are millions or trillions like me. Chocolate or delicious products like brownies come a lot handy during festive times of this sort. Hello, in case you don't remember, October has arrived, and with October begins the festivities.

Can you tell me of surprise element that pairs well with chocolates?

I have the perfect answer: Cheese. Yes, an there is much more to this combo, other than the chocolate cheesecake. Don't trust me? Read on

 So here in this post we will bring both of them together in one simple recipe. well, it is no secret that the chocolates come from beans of a fruit, grown in the faraway lands by people who of course wants humanity to thrive. Where as cheese is a by product of milk, right? You are in for a bagful of disappointment if you expect me to talk about the process of transforming them to their pleasurable form in this post.. Rest assured, a lot of hard work goes into it, and hereby you can pledge to kiss those hands whenever you come across them. And now if you have braised yourself for the pleasure ride, here goes the recipe. One look at the ingredients and we are ready to dive in:

1. Unsallted butter- 85gm, room temperature
2. Dark chocolate- 100gm, chopped
3. Caster Sugar- 130gm
4. Eggs- 2
5. Flour- 70gm
6. Cocoa powder- 1tbsp
7. Salt- a pinch
8. Vanilla essence- 1tsp

Cheesecake Topping:
1. Cream cheese- 180gm
2. Egg yolk- 1
3. Caster sugar- 75gm
4. Vanilla- 1/2tsp (please use a good quality one)

Method::

1..Grease and line an 8" square pan.
2. In a medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate on low heat, always stirring till melted. Remove from heat & add in 130gm sugar, mix well.
3. Add in the 2eggs + vanilla and mix until properly incorporated.


4. Add the flour+ cocoa powder+ salt and mix well.

5. Pour the batter in the greased pan .
6. Preheat your microwave to 175 C.
7. In a bowl mix the cream cheese + egg yolk + sugar+ vanilla. Beat it well to combine.
8. Pour blobs of this mix over the brownie mix in the greased pan. With a butter knife spread it unevenly or swirl it on top. And generously sprinkle some coffee powder on top (optional)

9. Bake it at 175 for 45 min. When it comes out, it will be a bit wiggly at the center but set all around.

10. Rest it for around 2-3 hours, till completely cooled down and set. Cut into into squares and ready to be consumed.

Thinking about extra points? well, there are none. The only thing is for you to be calm and stir, as discussed and stated. Now let's discuss how do these come in handy? These squares of absolute pleasure, can handle unexpected guests with the snap of a finger, in case if you want to slip into the festive mood after a horrendous day at work: this is one of the easiest way to do so. They not only bring smile on the face of your loved ones, but also expresses much more warmth than a shop bought expensive gift. Oh ya!! These are perfect giveaway gifts to friends and loved ones for the puja.

Did I mention, these say perfectly fine in your fridge wrapped in an airtight container for more than 10 days. Well, they did in mine. Trust me. Not sure about you, But I am off to rustling up mine. After all, even if you don't wake up in September, you are not allowed any sleep in October. Aha!!
